Fake Survey: Computer Use and Skills

Thank you for taking the time to participate in this survey!

You have been identified through the Teen Resource Center as a person who has recently received a laptop through their program. In partnership with a research team at UNB Saint John, the Teen Resource Centre is conducting this survey to measure the degree of computer skills that you currently have and what skills you would like to develop. Your answers will help us decide what new tutorials we should give that will help improve your skills. This survey is about 5-10 minutes long. All your answers are protected and will be strictly confidential. The Teen Resource Centre has issued you a Participant ID as you will be asked to complete a survey now and a similar survey sometime in September, and we want to link your answers. Only the Teen Resource Centre will be able to link you as an individual to the Participant ID. That data will never be kept together with the surveys and will be destroyed upon completion of this research project.

Both you and your parent/guardian have been given an informed consent slip which you have signed. Your signature means that you have been made aware of the research purposes of the project. As a reminder, please understand that you may exit the survey/project at any time. However, if you do so, you will not be eligible for any of the prizes.
